Probably a financial reason. Sauerlands contract with danish TV2 expired when Kessler was injured. After that Sauerland got a contract with Viasat and they are doing PPV's. TV2 was public service.

It's a bit complicated, but PPV wont work when german ARD are transmitting which they was supposed to do under the TV2 banner, because ARD is free in Denmark.

So the german finance was gone.......... I don't know if that was clear enough......
