Canelo's Road to Undisputed was Harder than Crawford's

Canelo fought a higher level of opposition to get undisputed than Crawford did (Canelo fought 3 undefeated world champions). Crawford's claim to PFP #1 was getting undisputed, but now that Canelo has also done that and has fought a significantly higher level of comp in other weight classes, I don't see how you could possibly put Crawford above him pfp. It's really a dumb argument to make.

Exactly. Crawford cleaned up a 140 division that guys like Danny Garcia and others had moved on from. Plus how long ago was that? Crawford’s welterweight resume is a joke.
”Oh but it’s all Arums fault doe!” His groupies say. Well who’s fault is that? He hid behind Arum during his prime years and that’s on him.

Terrence Crawford beat the LW goat Dulorme who was Ko’ed by 1 round by Boots and the ATG Indongo who was ktfo in 2 rounds by Prograis for undisputed.

Crawford's one of my favorite fighters and unifying 140 was a great accomplishment but yeah what Canelo's doing right now is crazy. Bud cleaned up 135 and 140 on his way up to a much tougher division while Canelo has basically stomped all over three entire weight classes, would be a big favorite against most guys in a fourth, and is even threatening to fight for a title in a fifth and there's no obvious guy out there who people think will beat him. That's nuts.

The champs Crawford beat were at career highs. Canelo caught Saunder’s coming off getting his sht pushed in by some random bum and Callum Smith citing “weight-drained” post fight. His best win is Caleb Plant, a never was.

Nah, Postol was better, and in retrospect Indongo may have not amounted to much but he still beat guys to get to where he was and we don’t know how Canelo’s 168 wins will age. We just know the one coming off a loss prior to Canelo has moved up.

Overall though, obviously Canelo is over Crawford.

Yeah it’s not even close. Crawford unified the 140 trinkets by beating B level guys. Danny Garcías and Tim Bradley didn’t unify the division completely but they had far better resumes at the division.
