Demetrius Andrade currently holds the WBO belt at 160. BJS held the WBO belt at 168 before Canelo defeated him.
if Andrade really wanted to fight Canelo, he would have pulled an Usyk and forced a WBO mandatory vs Saunders. If he won that, Canelo would have fought him for the 168belt instead of Saunders. But he didnt. It’s clear he was content fighting the Liam Williams and Quigley’s of the world.
And now that the wbo is forcing a fight between him vs Janibek and Canelo is done collecting all the belts at 168, Andrade is now planning to move up and enforce the wbo status to duck Janibek.
let’s not forget Andrade vacated his belt and ducked Jermell Charlo back when he was still at 154.
