I always assumed people who were “boxing fans first” didn’t support confirmed cheaters. Weird. I’m also pretty sure that we’ve seen greater accomplishments in the sport than what canelo has done in our lifetimes. Unless you’re 8 yrs old, in which case, you’d be right.

Of course he is but that fight isn't going to happen.
I'm not sure what Canelo is going to do but I will be surprised if he fights legit threats.Comment

Lol hate to burst your bubble but if you’ve been a fan since the 70s most accomplished athletes in every sport have been on PEDs with an exception to a very few. You choose however to target a single one for a single failed test.Last edited by Boxingfanatic75; 12-21-2021, 07:12 PM.Comment

not quite. If you got popped then you got popped, regardless of who it is. Not just Canelo. We can always speculate about others but that’s only speculation. With Canelo, there’s solid proof. He failed a vada test. So like I said, real fans are opposed to cheating in the sport they love and wouldn’t just blatantly dismiss a failed test the way you seem to do.

Jesus. How did Usyk enter the conversation? Things are get out of hand. I’m a canelo hater but that’s ridiculous.Comment

Dismiss it? Not in the least. However I won’t base his entire career and body of work on it. He hasn’t popped prior or since. It isn’t something I dwell on. It’s beyond “speculation” as to whether or not elite athletes are, were or have been on PEDs since the 70s. It’s just a sad fact. You’d be naive to believe otherwise. Unless 100% of all athletes are 100% 24/7 VADA then there’s speculation and your pool of PED users are all right there. See, 24/7 shouldn’t be an option it should be mandatory and those not in 24/7 are either cycling in between fights or are plagued with indecision to use. This isn’t even debatable.not quite. I agree that 24/7 should be mandatory and everyone who isn’t may potentially be dirty, but, there is a difference between speculating that someone cheated and having the actual proof of a failed vada test. So if a boxing fan holds that against canelo, who are you to tell that fan that he should just forget about it and just “relish in his greatness”. Like it or not, Canelo’s accomplishments will always be tainted.
