There's a reason that Canelo vacated his LHW belt after beating Kovalev. Until Beterbiev has a tough fight or two and actually shows some real vulnerability, Alvarez won't even utter his name.

        Of course it is.

But if Canelo is being asked to take the risk against Beterbiev...why not ask Bivol and Beterbiev to take a risk against each other first?

Just like Bivol and Beterbiev won't utter each other's names.

Canelo won't fight Beterbiev and there's nothing wrong with that, but don't pretend that he fought Kovaelv because he wanted to fight the best at 175. Keep it consistent, be honest.

I don't think fans who really know boxing are asking him to fight Beterbev

He'll still have to show signs of slowing down. The guy powered through a huge gash on his forehead for most of the fight to stop Browne. So not only are his skill and power intact, his mental resolve is also quite strong. Alvarez may have to wait until Beterbiev retires, THEN talk about how he wanted to fight him, but things just didn't line up.

Welp... Beterbiev doesn't crack when you mention Bivol... On the opposite, Bivol behavior towards Artur doesn't lead to confidence...

Exemples of quotes from Bivol trough time:
                  • "Beterbiev can't be beaten from the inside..."
                  • "Beterbiev is the most dangerous fighter at LHW..."
So yeah... Make what you want of it ...

He has slowed down a bit... More economical in his punch rate and probably more aware of the danger of stronger opposition.. Outcome will be the same though, just later...

I prefer Beterbiev vs. Canelo & Bivol vs. Zurdo!
