Both fighters would probably end up taking a ton of damage in this fight. I think there's still a lot money to be made by Canelo in the sport and his team might not want him to be washed up that soon. The smartest thing they could do is to let Beterbiev fight Bivol and Canelo could fight Ramirez who could be a bit easier for Canelo and would do great numbers in Mexico and the winners should then fight each others for undisputed. Or Canelo could drop back down to 168 to fight Benavidez instead of Ramirez and then fight the winner of Beterbiev vs Bivol. Main thing is to let Bivol and Beterbiev battle it out first preferrable twice in 2 close brutal bouts. That would soften them up a bit.

      It’s pointless to debate it.

Like someone trying to argue that Majic was better than MJ, or that Brees was better than Brady. It’s pointless. Not worth the energy anymore.

Hands down Canelo already has an ATG resume, ****s on whoever the hell you *** with, and there is nothing you can do but get mad.

      Whilst we're talking dictionaries...

      *You're.

I'd be shocked TBH. He's become the biggest cash cow post-Floyd, no question. But objective boxing fans look at a fighter's entire body of work to see what he gave back to the sport through grit and adversity imposed upon on him by stellar fights. I'll respect your opinion but unless Canelo stops cherry picking for the remainder of his career, from my perspective he's not going to surpass the true greats such as Ray Robinson, Ali, Duran, JCC, etc.

You are all dying too high with the con man.
Because I'm a GGG fan, I got a weird feeling you might be Golovkin himself posting on here and I want to clarify my point was they had a brutal war and Canelo's team probably doesn't want a war like that again.

Interesting to compare what industry people have to say about this to what the BoxingScene Canelo haters have to say.
I bet I could find one of your previous posts where you've called Arum any combination of a senile, lying, scumbag - don't deny it - LMAO .... but now he is respected 'industry people' when it suits you ??

Bob Arum is first and foremost a promoter. He is known to lie. He admits he lies when it suits his purpose. How would you know when he is lying or telling the truth?

Some of these posters are not boxing fans in the least. I think "fanboys and haters" best describe some of these folks.

Perpicacious fight fans question Canelo's matchmaking but admit he is still achieving and risking more than most other fighters.

You are so right! Canelo's resume pales in comparison to Charlo's, Andrade's, Golovkin's, Bivol's, and Benevidez's resume.

If Bivol fights Beterbieve I don't think it'll play out as a war except if it turns out to be Bivol's last stand. Bivol will try to keep Beterbiev at length and honest - I don't know if Bivol is a more complete fighter than Govozdyk was - slightly better boxer but less power
