I logged in to say that:

1. Good to see Bek back. I didn't even realize he was fighting. IMO, he was way more cautious this time around, maybe too much. He didn't push Ekimov when he had him locked in the corner a few times. If he's going to be more cautious, then he needs more jabs, otherwise his style is not using his strengths well. He had more movement this time and used more guard tho. Also, I saw Ekimov was trying a bunch early in the fight to catch Bek with that overhand that old whats his name caught him with, but it wasn't working.

2. The Argentinian knocked the other dude down, what's with that ref?

3. I replayed the last fight and still couldn't hear the bell. But if all that was after the bell, then I don't understand how the ref didn't just digress and say never mind and start the next round. I will say that Madrimov wasn't dominating imo. He got caught a lot, and Soro would've done even better if he would've used the jab more. I was impressed that a 7-0 guy was taking on a 35-2-1 guy. Wow.

To me the controversy wasn't the stoppage, but rather how can a guy with 34 fights lose nearly ever single round to a guy with only 7 pro fights? Was paid to take a dive, so this Uzbekistani darling could go down in their history as guy to win the belt with the least amount of wins?

I think the Uzbeks have some of the most entertaining styles in the sport, and physical talent also. Madrimov, Bek, and Ahkmadaliev are all quick, explosive, powerful and flow nicely. But lately they have all been underperforming.
