Gervonta "Tank" Davis Cracks ESPN's Pound 4 Pound List

How has Tank made it on the Pound 4 Pound list? He arguably lost or drew with Cruz, a boxer who wasn't a champion or anything. He was ranked with one or two sanctioning bodies, but how does that elevate him onto the Pound 4 Pound list? Can someone make sense of this?

Is this the Mike Coppinger effect?

I know man. It's kind of funny, in a weird way. And that's a good point about Spence.

To Tank's credit, he has traversed the weights without an official loss. And has almost all clear wins.

I don't know if he is top 10 but I could certainly see the argument for it. As protected as he is, he is a quality fighter.

I don’t know why people take these bogus networks Rankings serious they All have agendas and are biased AF.

Only official ranking that matters has always been The Ring magazine that’s it.

going through 3 divisions fighting nobodies is not impressive.

The problem is that boxing has abandoned real journalism for fanboyism. Instead of real journalists like Sugar and Isenberg who do real unbiased coverage, ask the hard questions, and give you all facts, you have fanboys whose job is basically just to suck up to the boxers they like for access.
