Lomachenko isn't the type of dude to say "tank n his daddy may are scared ****less of me" so It's probably loma being cordial about. But yea, nothing political about it. If Bob and Al were willing to work out a Wilder/Fury fight then there should be no reason they cant/couldn't come together for this one. When Tank is on record having a meltdown proclaiming Mayweather is trying to get him beat there's little left for interpretation on reasons why this fight hasn't happened.

It's the honest truth. Tank Davis and Floyd Mayweather don't want the Lomachenko fight. Bad look, I'm embarrassed for them.
But at the same time Lomachenko's team dropped the WBC belt rather than have Devin Haney hanging around as the mandatory. So if you want to talk about boxing politics don't forget to bring up that little incident too.Comment

I lost respect for Loma as a competitor when he said he would not go up to 140 lbs to avenge his loss vs Teofimo. I get he is already small for 135, but it's only 5 more lbs, and even to welterweight where the big fights are, it's only 12 more lbs. How many fighters in history have gone to whatever weight they needed to go to to erase the loss on their record?
A few years ago, Michael Montero, who seems to have inside contacts with the camps of a lot of these fighters, was saying Loma could eventually fight Josh Taylor at 140 lbs in Scotland. Taylor is welterweight size! He is way bigger than Teofimo! And that is the matchup fans want to see! Best vs best! So how come back then, when Loma had put on less muscle, 140 was an option, but not now? Disappointing. Some boxers today talk such a big game, about fighting for legacy, but then they make excuses not to take the biggest legacy fights. Nothing Loma can do at 135 can create the same legacy as him doing it at 140 or 147.Comment
