NEW YORK - Vasiliy Lomachenko took offense Thursday when a reporter asked him if he was "happy" that Teofimo Lopez lost to George Kambosos Jr. Despite their rivalry, Lomachenko expressed empathy for Lopez, who was heavily favored to beat Kambosos on November 27 at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater. Lomachenko remembers what it was like to do his own soul searching following his 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat to Lopez in October 2020 at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

I’ve seen Loma be a bit arrogant at times but yea gotta respect his answer some fighters can take note of that.

Plus in Lopez mind he is still the undisputed champ...Loma took the L and it hurt him, imagine if he still thought he was the champ...and then the lungs. The lung excuse, that will never b3 forgiven

The WBC lightweight 'Franchise' title seems cursed -- Kambo is next.

Spoken like a real class act, good on him. On the other hand Kambosos is a real schmuk, praising his own skills and performance and talking himself up as being the top dog. All he did was barely defeat a hopelessly ill Lopez. I fully expect Kambosos to not last a single defense of the titles.

Loma has seemed a bit more humble in the build up to this fight. Hope he wins this and gets his belts back to cement his legacy. You never know though, but I have a feeling he will. He maybe has a shout for ATG status if he gets those belts back then beats maybe three of those kings including Shakur.
