The only problem is they're fighting in PR and Mayol needs to KTFO Calderon or else the judges will give a hometown decision to calderon.
Mayol??? Are you talking about Mayonnaise ?

I have that first fight and te round Calderon got cought, he stand and traded and he hurt Mayol like 3 times and Mayol didnt even knew how to throw baclk at Calderon. I believe that was the 3rd round.

If Calderon fights similar to what he did against Dieppa hell KO Mayol!

Final words pics to follow soon.

some final words from both fighthers..

        By Lee Bates

A fighter meeting was held this morning at the hotel in San Juan, where both WBO champion Ivan Calderon (32-0-1, 6 KOs) and his challenger Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19 KOs both attended prior to their upcoming rematch this Saturday. Both fighters physical appearances showed their hard work put into their individual training camps. The champ stated he planned on delivering his matator to the bull act and Mayol countered with his own response.
Calderon: “He’s saying that he is going to be more agressive this time around and that’s just fine with me. It will be just like the matador and the bull where I will make him miss and the crowd will shout Ole! Ole! and he will be countered punched all night for his trouble.”
Mayol: “He may play the role of the matador but this bull isn’t going to miss the target”.
The official weigh-in is set for 5PM EST.

If Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach’s crystal ball is right on the money again, then Filipino prospect Rodel Mayol, a fighter promoted by Manny Pacquiao, will finally emerge as a world champion.

Rodel Mayol of the Philippines, right, and WBO light flyweight champion Ivan Calderon of Puerto Rico size each other up. Jose Perez/PR Best Boxing Promotions

Roach will be in the corner of Mayol for his rematch with WBO light flyweight champion Ivan Calderon on Saturday in Puerto Rico (Sunday in Manila) and he is positive “Batang Mandaue" will triumph this time.

The 27-year-old Mayol earlier tangled with Calderon in an abbreviated fight that ended in a six-round technical draw after the Puerto Rican champ absorbed a cut on his forehead due to accidental head clash.

"I think 100% that with the way his (Mayol’s) mindset is and the confidence he has compared to the last time, he'll win the fight," Roach said in an interview with BoxingScene.com.

Roach, who will take over from assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez for Mayol-Calderon II, said their fight plan will concentrate on breaking down the speedy Calderon.

"The left hook is the best weapon against a southpaw. He likes to use the right hand but we have to get him in position. We're working on the left hook to the head and body and moving out of harm's way after. We're working on the left mostly but to keep Calderon honest, we have to use both hands," he said.

"I think 100% that with the way his (Mayol’s) mindset is and the confidence
he has compared to the last time, he'll
            win the fight. "
            Trainer Freddie Roach
