Comments Thread For: Vaughn Alexander Upsets Luis Arias By Split Decision In 10-Rounder On Davis-Cruz Undercard

LOS ANGELES - Luis Arias was supposed to keep busy Sunday against veteran Vaughn Alexander. This time, though, it was Alexander who pulled off an upset in their 10-round middleweight match. Devon Alexander's older brother produced perhaps the biggest win of his career, a split-decision victory over Arias on the non-televised portion of the Gervonta Davis-Isaac Cruz undercard at Staples Center.

This is true. That's because the 154s were the only division that everyone fought everyone (except Hurd v Charlo) for years and now the battlescars are starting to show. Time for Spence, Crawford, Danny and the rest of them to move up and keep the assembly line going.

Yep, it’s about that time for beloved welterweights to move up another division and get old there….unless one of them goes up one more division to 160.

Gotta leave it to the young guns now. Bitter sweet…..
