"Mexican warriors" get dropped all the time and get back up. But according to the "usual suspects" if a guy gets dropped and is wrestled down by the ref and screams at the ref to get off him and that he can continue, that somehow means he almost died. Especially when it's a white guy knocking down the black guy

I don't think it has anything to do with racism, it's more related to their fighting styles. Black fighters are more likely to be defensive minded, safety first fighters while Latinos tend to be all action, defensively limited fighters.

We rarely see black fighters get hit. So when we see them finally take a good punch and it makes them do the stanky leg, it creates criticism of their punch resistance. "The one time they get hit, they get hurt."

With Latino fighters we're always seeing them get hit and walk through everything. So by the time they actually get buckled, we're shocked that they were able to last that long. "He was hit with the kitchen sink and finally wilted at the end of the fight."

Haney gets wobbled by Linares and he's considered chinny. I can name a bunch of Spanish fighters who have been wobbled, but they're considered Mexican warriors.

Danny Jacobs got caught with a flash knockdown against Mora and was called chinny. Lomachenko gets dropped by Linares and you don't hear one thing about him being chinny, but only that it was a flash knockdown. But if that's the case then why was Jacobs called chinny when he got hit with a flash knockdown?

Then you got Haney. Haney ate clean left hooks from Diaz last night and showed grit. If Haney was Mexican, he'd be called a Mexican warrior

Well, I think a major difference is Haney has never been tested up until Linares.

He got cracked by one fast, precise punch and wobbled clearly. Then spent an entire round holding to recover him legs.

I don't think he was ever hurt too bad by Diaz however. Diaz got some good punches in but the whole time Haney was live and sharp. So, personally, I wouldn't say he got hurt by him.

Whereas, say JMM for example. He gets knocked down, or wobbled. But he's fighting Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Pacquiao. Etc.

So, yes, you would call Marquez a warrior instead of chinny.

Whereas you'd question Haney's chin because he's never fought guys on Morales, Barrera, or Pacquiao's level. Thus, he gets caught and wobbled. You wonder if he is chinny. Because he's not proven to be able to stand in there with Lomachenko, Teofimo, Gervonta Davis. etc.
