Donald curry was an elite welterweight. You would think that with all these multi million dollar promoters such as Bob Arum,Don King, Eddie Hearn that they would see these sad stories pony up some dollars and get boxers like Donald Curry Wilfredo Benitez etc the care that they need. These promoters live off the back of these boxers. Even someone like Floyd Mayweather who is worth a fortune could do something. Many of them don’t have health insurance,retirement plans etc.

With Benitez, was it due to the damage he took in all the sparring he did? I read his father had him sparring heavyweights all the time without headgear etc.
