WBO Grants Bradley's Appeal Over Peterson Purse

The WBO did the right thing. BoxingScene.com was informed that the sanctioning body approved the appeal that was filed on behalf of junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. The appeal was filed in response to the WBO's recent head-shaking ruling that interim-champion/mandatory challenger Lamont Peterson was entitled to 60% of the total purse [$575,000] if their December fight was going to take place in California, Bradley's home state. They sanctioning body was willing to come down to 50-50, which still didn't sit well with Team Bradley.

Yea that was a crazy rule I had honestly never seen anything like that. I had to read the **** like 4 from a couple different places to jsut believe that the champ in a purse bid got the short stick.

Bradley should definetly be getting the big piece of the pie.
