You and I both know Arum is as big a scumbag as 99.9% of the rest of Boxing promoters. Him bad-mouthing Dana White doesn't make him into a Saint all of a sudden.
C'mon homie...lighten up with UFC bashing. When people come off like that it's usually because they envy what they hate. Looks better if you just stick to your lane (Boxing). Dana and the UFC are still going to flourish and with Ultimate Fighter 10 just about to start into the 4th quarter of the Neilson TV ratings.

bob arum's gave the guy his props for promoting.... why am I prasing arum for what he did??? cos it was time !!! dana is using boxing to promote his ufc.. and arum is just doing the same.. i cant careless who do better numbers or anything...

they are good athletes and right now .. they are doing better than boxing in numbers etc etc.. that doesnt change the fact that I concur with lots of points that bob arum said...

At the very end of the day though, what is your one job as a promoter? To have as many people possible to watch your product. Obviously, Dana White's doing a phenomenal job considering he originally purchased UFC with Zuffa for $2 Million (which is far beyond what it's worth today) and now the UFC is THE leading PPV and network contact sport today, you literally cannot deny that. It's not about what the fighters make or what which sport is more prestigious...it's all about how many people you can get to watch your sport.

What I see from a lot of the Boxing (only) fans is they simply just **** on UFC just because it's the direct parallel of Boxing in terms of a contact sport. So obviously people will get mad when they see the coverage the UFC is getting compared to Boxing these days. But ridiculing another sport because of what one promoter said is just playing into the role of envy.

Think about if the roles were reversed. I'm more than positive you'd be laughing at the UFC if Dana came out and bashed Boxing the way Arum blindly did to the UFC.

Ultimate Fightinn was definitely intended to be an instant gratification type think. I think it was a great idea as far as entertainment goes but to compare it to boxing????......Maybe as it evolves.
But if fighters start getting to artzy I think the sport would die out.
You almost always need a ko in every fight to keep it interesting.
