Who else thinks Lomachenko is Overated? I feel he is a good boxer, but not great
Lomachenko Overrated

I know where your question is coming from. Some also wonder about that: Loma lost to Lopez, but a bum took Lopez's soul? I can't argue against the facts. That's a legit wondering. I can't say he's overrated. That Lopez loss, tho, haunts Loma more than the Salido loss.
It's gonna be a hard climb back up if Loma is planning to go the belts way. To retire comfortably, he only needs one name: Gervonta Davis. Both for money and legacy, win or lose. Loma calls it his mega fight. Hopefully he gets his wish. I can see things aligning for this fight to happen.
Otherwise, his pro career won't be that memorable.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 11-30-2021, 10:18 PM.Comment

The reality of the situation is that if Loma fought Tank and schooled him then everyone would just say Tank never fought anyone and when he did, he got exposed.I know where your question is coming from. Honestly it's gonna be the same story with Garcia and Haney until they win some big fights. Haney will have Linares and Diaz under his belt after this weekend most likely so he will have the next best resume at 135. Tanks fought nobody and Garcia needs another name after campbellComment

I don't think I've ever seen a fighter as highly regarded as Loma despite accomplishing so little. People were seriously comparing him to Floyd and Pac.Comment

No knowledgeable boxing fan is gonna say that. Maybe just you, and a few other haters.

To be fair at 130 and below he looked really special. Had some high profile fights and excelled quite a bit.
At 135, he has looked pedestrian. Though his recent win vs Nakatani was encouraging.
Styles make fights I guess, with Kambo, Teo and Loma. I would take Loma over Kambo but who knows. Hopefully these guys all mix it up. (Not Teo, he should go up to 140)Comment

Generally speaking, saying a man who won two gold medals is a 'good boxer, but not great' just feels absurd to me.Comment

This is my opinion. Loma is too small for 135, he struggled with everyone he fought there. I dont know if he was injured going into the Teo fight but I do know when he turned it on he looked fantastic. You can dig through my post history and I state that he isnt built for 135. Is he the Goat or even an ATG, no he isnt. Atleast he isnt yet but he is a great talent that is fun as fck to watch but he is getting old now and i think him trying to collect belts at 135 cost him. He could have really built a legacy at 130 I think. He is a tiny mfer compared to the dudes at 135.Comment

I have never seen a fighter like Loma before. I as well have never seen a champion defend his title while only fighting for 4 rounds of that fight against Teo.
Teo was handed his title, for what ever reason, and then he gets taken out in his first defense.
Loma is an incredible fighter...............Rockin'
