He's reached "Exhibition Age" and his handlers should take that path to keep him from harm. Fighters don't know when to quit and we really can't make them retire.

Some fighters should have Go Fund Me "send off" fights. The public himself and public must agree that this is his last fight, pay him WELL to stay the heck away from the sport and wish him well. Some fighters should be paid to stay away at a certain point.
The issue is not only his age, it’s also his knee issues. I agree with you about his age, but also, it’s not just that.

And I do not think he needs money, he apparently used his boxing money very well, according to Dibella.

Also, to my knowledge, the guy does not have a wife or kids? He is like Bizzaro Holyfield. I mean i’m not concerned with what he does in private, but I mention that because you know how some of these athletes/celebs end up having 15 kids by 6 women and have to pay child support. Martinez does not seem to life that type of lifestyle. Maybe he just bones women on the pill and enjoys life. Or he bats for the other team, who knows? But whatever the case, he at least has no financial worries that stem from women/kids.

I also think he used his boxing fame to earn money in other TV shows.

I think he came out of retirement because he got inspired by Mike Tyson. At least that’s what he said was the reason.
