What age is considered as OLD in boxing?

I just found out that Terence Crawford is 34, THIRTY FOUR! I was shocked! I thought he was 27 or something. Isn’t 34 near to retirement age? So does Crawford only have a few more fights left in him? To put into contact, Khan and brook are a few months older than Crawford yet everyone says they are old and past it.

Shawn porter is also 34 yet people were saying he’s past it and too old and he did retire last week.

Errol Spence is 31, so surely the age advantage would favour errol, the younger more fresher guy.

Isn’t 34 an age where fighters bodies start to decline? What age is generally considered as being old or ‘nearing retirement’?

Errol Spence vs Crawford needs to happen NOW before it’s too late and it just ends up being Spence beating an old past it dude up!

Sergio Mora said you are only as good as how hungry you are. Also I'd say you get in where you fit in. Just because a prizefighter is no longer pound for pound I believe he can still achieve a lot more. It's the journey that's so endearing.

It’s a tricky thing and varies on many things. When a fighter goes pro, level of competition, loss/stoppages, wars, ect. Now with modern medicine, training, and nutrition fighters are still going strong into their 30s and some well into their 40s. Modern fighters besides a very few don’t regularly fight as often as those from the past.

Fighters used to generally be washed up at 30 but now most of the best fighters are at that age. Canelo, Crawford, Loma, Fury, Usyk, ect.

Crawford has about maybe, 2-3 years left before it's time to hang up the gloves. The fight with Spence needs to get done early 2022 asap.
