This is what happens when fighters leave the Top Rank Protection Program

We get a more accurate assessment of how good they really are.

Another way to look at it is don’t eff with Bob Arum if you don’t want the repercussions .

I've had threads wanting all boxers to sign with PBC
so that all excuses about being in different streets will be gone forever.

But this thread makes no sense. Teo is not in the TR protection program.
Or has never been in it.

Tank is under the PBC protection program and still hasn’t fought anyone. The Charlo brothers have been connected and protected since their pro debut. Porter crossed the street and got stopped inside the distance by Crawford.

You could say the same for PBC to be honest, they're I think 4 wins - 18 losses to Top Rank in head to head fights

I would agree that Tank is in the PBC protection program.

No problem with anyone calling Gervonta out for that.

True for Tank and Charlo but not Porter... Reason why I say that cuz a guy like Ugas would have been robbed regardless of the promotion going by boxing politics.

Kambosos was a guy I thought might have lost to Lee Selby. Maybe this is what happens when you become arrogant.

A lot of these examples recently. Wilder gets stopped twice in Top Rank/PBC co-promotions. Porter gets stopped and retired on a Top Rank promotion. Canelo invades PBC and stops Plant, then dips. Mikey Garcia leaves PBC and gets humbled in his second fight on DAZN.

It's bad for most guys to fight outside of their promoter's sphere. A promoter will try to protect their assets because boxing is a business. Eddie had no reason to protect Teo because he's got a long-term deal with Top Rank. If Teo was Eddie's fighter, these judges would have been passed an envelope underneath the table. Happens with every Canelo fight, happens with every Top Rank promotion, happens with every PBC promotion.

Teo turned down Bob's offer for the Kombosauce fight. He then got jerked around for most of the year by Triller and fought unprotected on DAZN. A life lesson for the young phenom.

You know TR is like 18-4 vs PBC fighters right? They do just fine when they fight outside guys
