At their best, it would come down to - can Spence's body work slow GGG down at all. You have to imagine GGG will find Spence with the jab. He finds everyone with the jab, and Spence isn't that hard to hit.

I always liked Spence and pfp used to rate him right there with GGG, but he isn't as professional as GGG is. In the key moments, that may matter too.
GGG's jab isn't as effective vs southpaws. He had one of his toughest fights with Ouma, and he went the distance with another southpaw early in his career in Ian Gardner. He was more crude in that fight due to him not being able to rely on the jab as much.

Well I would argue that he was more crude overall because it was way earlier in his career. I think he really started using the jab under Abel, which was after Ouma.

But yeah it's hard to say really. Only lefty he fought 'recently' was Monroe and that was an easy fight but I don't think he used the jab much in that, to your point.

I was going to say earlier too that I don't think GGG is a pressure fighter. He fights behind the jab, but that really is what he uses to find range. Finding range is different with orthodox vs southpaw for sure.

But with Spence's style vs GGG I think Spence is too slow and GGG would still work behind the jab. It could turn into an inside fight too but I don't think GGG would go that route because Spence does good work to the body on the inside.

So yeah I think he would work behind the jab, and keep it at range or midrange. If it goes inside Spence has a real shot pfp because he can rip to the body.
