Anybody that likes to fight, like Spaniards, will tune into boxing for a measly 2 Euro one month sub.

this fight makes sense as Bud will be heavily compensated for an easy opponent
Nah. 99.99% of Spaniards don’t know who Terrence Crawford is. Heck most don’t know who Martin is. The fight isn’t making the kind of money needed.

Spaniards don’t like to fight. It’s one of the softest countries on earth. I go there regularly.

Again where have you heard this rumour you attention seeking turnip

DAZN records 49m watched hours in Spanish platform’s debut year

Streaming service’s live content accounts for 78% of overall consumption.

        by Steven Impey

DAZN’s Spanish subscribers have watched more than 49 million hours of live and on-demand content on the platform since the over-the-top (OTT) sports media company launched its service in the country in February last year.

Releasing its figures for the first year of operation, DAZN says its live coverage made up more than 78 per cent of its consumption over the past 12 months.

MotoGP’s debut season attracted widespread interest on the platform, bolstered by the success of Spanish rider Marc Márquez, who won his sixth, and fourth consecutive, MotoGP title last season.

Although DAZN has not disclosed a breakdown of its own audience figures, data from Nielsen Sports shows that MotoGP’s debut season with the OTT service grew the global motorcycling series’ average live audience in Spain by 11 per cent during 2019. According to DAZN, the Gran Premi de Catalunya, held in Barcelona last June, draw its largest audience in the region for a single MotoGP event.

Real Sociedad’s shock Copa del Rey win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu earlier this month and the EuroLeague match between Real Madrid and Barcelona’s outfits in November were the platform’s best performing events in soccer and basketball respectively.

In boxing, the world heavyweight boxing title rematch between Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr and Britain’s Anthony Joshua was DAZN’s top event. Whilst Irish fighter Conor McGregor’s return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was DAZN’s most-watched MMA broadcast in Spain.

By local region, DAZN’s highest consumption in Spain included the capital Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and Seville. Most subscribers accessed the platform via a smart TV (31.5 per cent), leading set-top boxes (20.1 per cent), mobile devices (25.2 per cent), the DAZN website (15.4 per cent) and games consoles (7.8 per cent).

On DAZN’s Spanish social channels, the company also published more than 15,000 pieces of content, accumulating more than 5.5 million interactions. The most popular publication came from MotoGP as Alex Márquez made a sensational recovery to stay in the Japan Grand Prix, attracting more than 75,000 interactions.

Veronica Diquattro, DAZN’s executive vice president for southern Europe, said: “Since we arrived in Spain, we place the sports fan at the centre of our strategy. DAZN is a sport made by and for fans.

“In these 12 months, we have worked hard to offer the best possible experience by the hand of great voices, so that our users live the sport in a unique way, making them feel protagonists.”

DAZN’s Spanish offering also includes English soccer’s Premier League and the FA Cup, as well as South American soccer from the Copa Libertadores, the continent’s top club competition.

Premier League to stay on DAZN in Spain

Extended rights deal runs until end of 2024/25 season.

DAZN, the global digital sports media specialist, has announced the renewal of its exclusive Spanish broadcasting partnership with the Premier League for the 2022 to 2025 rights cycle.

The extension of DAZN’s current agreement kicks in at the end of the 2021/22 campaign and covers more than 235 live matches per season.

In addition to the live and on-demand Premier League coverage, DAZN’s Premier League offering covers a range of content, documentaries, interviews and original productions.

“With the renewal of our agreement with the Premier League in Spain through 2025 we will continue to offer fans one of the world's most prestigious sporting competitions, building on our existing successful partnerships” said Veronica Diquattro, DAZN’s chief customer and innovation officer.

“We will keep on working together to offer the growing number of fans who follow the Premier League in Spain the best experience and the best content, so that they can enjoy it to the full and discover new stories first hand through the key players, on and off the field.”

Having launched the Spanish service with the Premier League in 2019, the deal ensures DAZN retains a key piece of its soccer offering in Spain, including rights to the Copa del Rey domestic cup competition, the Copa Libertadores South American club tournament, English soccer’s FA Cup and Carabao Cup, the Coppa Italia, as well as Major League Soccer (MLS).

The upcoming season also sees the platform offer the Uefa Women's Champions League, the elite women’s club soccer competition, that DAZN recently snapped up in a global broadcast partnership with European soccer’s governing body.

Eddie is smart. Just boost DAZN subs and have Crawford annihilate common opponents, the guy who beat Mikey and Mikey lost to Spence.

Bud will just coast out until retirement as GGG is doing
