That was harsh I agree. Have you seen the post fight interview, there's a lot of good pointers from both him and Shawn discussing this. You can tell from Shawn there is no criticism of what his dad did - that shows a tight a father/son relationship. My dad is harsh with me too - but I know its out of love. Everything else is far and secondary.

I rather have a dad like Shawn's, then Danny's/Teofimo's.

I don’t doubt he loves his son and that they have a strong bond. Still think that what he did was unnecessary and embarrassing for his son. Porter is one of the few guys who always gives it his all and fights anyone. I feel he deserved better and that conversation would’ve been better off saved for their family breakfast the next morning.

Agreed - that was not necessary.

But if you watch the pre-fight two episode presentations and post fight interview with the Porters you'll see what I mean.
