He may not be hurting, but the clock is ticking. His last fight before this weekend was a year ago. He wasted it in failed negotiations with Manny, who chose Spence instead. Now he has a full year of options, but it sounds like it is Spence or move to 154.

You don't know that Ortiz isn't with RGBA anymore?

I'll tell the author this, Lyle, who seems to have a crush on Jim Lampley. Lampley, hands down the dumbest boxing play by play / colour commentator to ever live. Errol Spence is not Shawn Porter. Spence is a big Welter with big power in both hands, and to both head and body. Crawford beat an already beaten Spence opponent. Did Spence take alot out of Porter ? Only Porter knows. I thought Porter looked horrible but he still gave Crawford trouble. And yes, this was in Porter's last fight as a professional. At 34 yrs old. If Crawford couldn't beat this guy, then his reputation is shot. Everyone is making a big deal about Crawford stopping Porter, when in fact, it's not a big deal at all. Especially the way it was stopped. And it being Porters last fight. He was done before he even entered the ring. So you think Crawford now gets thru Spence easily ? What gives you this thought ? Spence is by far , the best opponent of Crawford's career. Not even close. If Crawford struggled with Porter, and he did, Spence knocks him out cold, and he will.

Many big fights? Am I missing something? Ortiz jr. and Boots are not big fights for experienced champion like Crawford is. These are normal fights.

Big fights Are Spence and Ugas at 147 and Castano or Charlo at 154.

Great call by the elder Porter. Jack ass comments afterward but probably the best dad/corner stoppage ive seen in boxing.
There is a risk every fighter takes when they step in that ring. I don’t think Kenny allowed his son to take that risk and I see that as being the wrong thing to do. Shawn had not taken a savage beaten, he may have been on the verge of being stopped but we will never truly know. Shawn will never know. His fathers compassion or codling may be his legacy from now on. He deserved better as a man than to be treated as a son.

He had nothing to give, he wasnt knocking Crawford out. Hes not a knockout guy and Crawford took away Shawns best weapon, which was his legs. So again, you say every fighter takes a risk but at the same time the corners there to prevent the fighter from un necessary punishment

Spence can't KO Mikey Garcia.... gets a gift SD with Porter... he probably should move to 154 for a recycled PBC fight with Danny boy..... that looks to be a typical PBC coward move..
