Comments Thread For: Spence or Not, Crawford Isn't Hurting For Big-Fight Options

By Lyle Fizsimmons - Let's get this on the record. I think Terence Crawford is the best welterweight in the world. And, if it ever happens, I think he'll handle Errol Spence to prove that very point. But I'm tired of wondering about it. I'm tired of thinking about it. I'm tired of rationalizing why either team might be avoiding the fight if they indeed have been.

Now that Shawn Porter is out of the way, the next two WBO ranked potential opponents come from the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, Vergil Ortiz and Mikey Garcia. Clearly Vergil and Mikey are not going to fight, so the pressure is on Vergil to step-up -- but Mikey who refused to work with Bob Arum can get it too, now that 'BUD' is like Mikey a free agent.

Mikey Garcia! Why? He just lost and got beat up by Spence.
      How about Boots Ennis?

Vergil Ortiz, is ahead of 'Boots' Jaron Ennis. Ortiz is more qualified, but 'Boots' can get it after Vergil.

Vergil Ortiz Jr. would be a big money fight for Crawford, even more for Spence because of the Dallas connection! However, there is no better fight than Spence vs. Crawford! I hope Crawford leaves Top Rank, and gets someone to get on the phone with PBC ASAP! If Spence won't sign something by February 1st, Bud might as well fight WBO #1 Vergil Ortiz Jr.!

Vergil would be a massive fight in Dallas. I dont see Spence signing the contract without getting a 80-20 split or maybe 70-30 after what he saw Saturday night. His reaction said it all to me.

Thanks Lyle. Would be interested to see your pick for the upcoming Davies vs Barroso fight. I can't find odds or anything and it's on Friday night! Barroso KO surely. The guy cracks.

Kenny Porter should be graciously, thankfully acknowledged for keeping Shawn from long time psychical & mental damage.... Thank you Kenny, you absolutely made the correct decision for Shawn!

Dear Bud, I'm named Bud too, and I say leave Errol ass on the other side of the street where he's been hiding ever since u been calling him out. I like Errol as a boxer, but the PBC playbook is hurting fights from being made at the right time when fighters are at their peaks, and therefore, hurting the sport, all for their agenda at the expense of the fans who support boxers and pay their salaries. Now that ur free from Sour Diesel Bob, do ur thing without Errol. Let Boots Ennis knock his ass out
