Cotto is just hyping the fight, and the Brits do have a tendancy to overrate Ricky.

So in his entire career of 47 fights, he has only been hit by two good punches?? If you haven't followed his career bar two fights, then STFU about stuff you don't know.

Ricky is very underrated. NOT overrated. No one thinks he can fight because of his fights against the P4P best in the world. He was outclassed by Mayweather and fought like an idiot with no gameplan against Pacquiao. Everyone else he beat and he dominated a division for years.
He has been struggling not to sink ever since he got his championship belt.

I've been following it since the Kostya fight and wasn't impressed. He's a B+ fighter with an ugly style (recently). Who has struggled mightily against very average opponents.

Ricky may have been overrated. He was still a very good fighter.

Even so, I think it's wrong to disrespect another fighter. Specially when they aren't even involved in your next fight.

Struggled "mightily" against very average opponents did he?

He only struggled against Collazo who is above average. He dominated and stopped an average guy in Paulie Malignaggi. He dominated an average guy in Juan Lazcano.

You don't know anything about Ricky apart from his two fights against Mayweather and Pacquiao, and what you see other people say on here.

Collazo is an above average fighter when you're talking about boxers as a whole, but when you're talking about champions, he was just that, an alphabet champion B- fighter.

And he didn't exactly dominate Lazcano. Juan hurt Hatton a couple times and after that it became a Ruiz like affair.

Didn't Dominate Lazcano? he won 35 out of the 36 minutes of the fight, that pretty dominating, there where incidents like the Infamous "hatton is Hurt" section in every round only it was Lazcano stubbling about and no one ever mentions it, hatton obliterated him and got caught with 2 good punches in the fight and because of that it's a shacky performance. Two of the judges gave him all 12 rounds FFS.

People call Hatton over rated and then come out with bollox like that, the mind boggles.

People diminish Hatton far too much and act like he is a bum. His only two losses are to two of the best fighters of this decade, probably the two best. He was a good fighter, we don't know about now but he to act like he is and has forever been an overrated bum is completely unfair.
