Yes he's a good fighter and would make for some entertaining fights but maybe Hearn is the problem for this guy as nobody believes much he says.

Andrade's problem as far as getting a big fight, is that he does the same thing that other guys do to him. He is a spoiler who doesn't bring much to the table, so no one is beating down his door to fight him.

However Andrade also seems content to take no real risks himself and just fight whoever he can and hang onto a belt.

The problem with boxing is there isn't a way to force the best to fight the best. That is the one thing the UFC has going for them. But - when you have a 1 promoter industry, then you have different promotions. In boxing, at least all the top guys are able to fight each other. Even though it doesn't happen as often as we'd like.

        He should fight Munguia.

Hearn should be doing more if he wants Andrade in big fights.

Agree to 30% stake in purse to fight, agree to vacate to get ranked by WBC at or near #1 contender, etc.

But he won’t and they don’t finesse the system like that. Why? Because they really don’t want it. If you want something, really want it, you’ll do what it takes to get it. Stop playing games and maybe Andrade would get the fights.
perhaos he should speak with Whyte before doing that

Fighters like Andrade want big paydays without being able to cover their payday, let alone to make a profit for the networks and promoters. They also want big money fights while having a thin resume and not fighting the high risk, low reward fighters like Lara and Charlo.

At 27 years old, the diva that is Andrade pulled out of a Charlo fight 1 month before fight night, over money. Andrade was going to get a career-high payday at the time, $300k, and fight the best opponent he could fight at the time, while still being relatively unknown.

              https://nypost.com/2015/07/31/jealou...on-sports/amp/

Andrade pulled out because Roc Nation promised to buy out Andrade’s contract for $2mill, pay him $550k to cancel the Charlo fight, and offered Andrade $750k for his next fight under the Roc Nation banner. None of that happened, Roc Nation pulled out, Andrade’s greedy ass got played, and Jermell went on to make his resume better.

Another one: Lara, the WBA Super champion at 154, called out Andrade. Andrade had this to say about Lara.

“Lara a Last Resort, I’d Fight Jack Culcay”

              https://www.boxingscene.com/demetriu...culcay--106350

Andrade: “I’m trying to get a title shot”

(Lara, the WBA Super champ, called out Andrade, offering him a title shot).

Andrade rejected Lara to fight the WBA Regular champ, and way less risky Jack Culcay.

I don’t know how much worse you can duck someone, than how Andrade ducked Lara. Maybe Bradley ducking Khan is worse. He really went after the WBA’s 154 secondary “champion”, over The Ring/WBA Super 154lb #1 fighter Erislandy Lara, who called him out. A legit champion of your weight class, the #1 guy of your weight class called YOU out. And you ducked him to fight a guy who was not ranked top 10 by The Ring at 154.

Canelo fighting Lara, despite knowing Lara has a difficult and boring style to look good against, just goes to show what a real fighter is. Andrade ducking Lara goes to show what is wrong with boxing. Guys like Andrade want belts and money while taking low risks. He wants belts and big paychecks, big money fights handed to him.

Andrade: “He won’t engage or try and make the fight entertaining, especially if it’s coming into my favor,” Andrade explained. “He’s just going to survive, try to run, try to do the little pitty-pat counter punches. I’m not about that right now.”

He said this about Lara, while being boring himself, and being turned down by big names because he is boring and doesn’t want to earn big fights by putting in the work, climbing up the ladder. He got a taste of his own medicine when Canelo and GGG ignored him and called him boring and terrible.

              Andrade sabotaged his own career.
Naw kev. Andrade is getting avoided. To blame that on him is completely unfair.

not Canelo though...Eddie sat back and was laughing at Andrade when he made a fool of himself trying to crash Canelo's Post Fight Press Conference

Charlo or Munguia fight should happen next though but not likely so Andrade vs "Qazaq Style" Alimkhanuly is likely next by default

You can't be avoided when you are turning down fights against the best.

I showed you evidence that Andrade literally turned down the 154 #1 ranked/WBA Super champion Erislandy Lara. He literally turned him down, ducked him.

                  Go read the links.

Andrade: "I want a title shot"

                  Lara: I am a champion, I am #1, let's fight.

Andrade: You are boring. I rather fight [WBA Regular champion, unranked in the top 10] Culkay over you, the #1 ranked 154 WBA Super champion.
That is an actual duck. Like there is no other way to coat that. He ducked Erislandy Lara.

He pulled out of the Charlo fight 1 month before the fight date.

You can't be avoided while ducking the best and pulling out of fights vs the best. That's not how being "avoided" works.

Demetrius Andrade has shown fans and media, as well as his peers, that he wants pig paydays handed to him and does not want anything to do with earning it by fighting the best.

Canelo Alvarez had to prove his worth at 154 by fighting Trout, Mayweather and Lara. Three difficult styles that anyone at the time would look bad against. But Andrade can just skip all of those challenging fights and ask for a big payday?

At 160, Canelo had to prove himself vs GGG twice, and Jacobs. Canelo took on the high risk fighters that critics and media were pushing for.

At 168, his critics said he would duck or drain Callum Smith. He didn't do any of that, fought him at 168 and beat him.

At 175, his critics said he would drain Kovalev, not fight him at the full 175lb limit. He fought him at 175 and KO'ed him.

Before Mayweather got the De La Hoya fight, he had to fight the guys that were challenging but were not big paydays. High risk, at the time, and low reward.

                  Lineal champ @130 Genaro Hernandez.
#1 ranked 130lb IBF champ and #5 P4P Diego Corrales
#1 ranked 135lb WBC champion Jose Luis Castillo in two tough fights
#1 ranked and WBC champ Arturo Gatti (moderate risk, good reward)
Ring/Lineal champ at 147 Carlos Baldomir (supposedly high risk according to critics of the time, good reward)

While it's an afterthought now, at the time, Mayweather critics were clamoring for him to fight Baldomir, and saying he is ducking him. Brian Kenny was notoriously the biggest advocate for Mayweather vs Baldomir, vehemiently telling Mayweather that he is ducking Baldomir.

Corrales was the last fighter to open as a favorite vs Mayweather. He was also known to be a welterweight in size, on fight night. So was Jose Luis Castillo. Vs both fighters, Mayweather was 135-138lbs.

Andrade does not have that in his resume or career. He does not have the fights that showed him facing off against high risk, low reward fighters. He turned those down because he thinks he's so special. He deserves to just get placed in big PPV fights without earning it.

It's actually great to see him not get sh/t now, after all of his ducking, and trying to skip the line. That dude wants sh/t handed to him. Canelo had to fight Lara, but Andrade' lazy ass doesn't have to? that's bullsh/t. Lazy ass fighter.

Janibek wants the work. Will Andrade accept it? It will be Andrade’s best opponent to date. Let’s see if he wants it or just wants to wait for underserved paydays.
