After tonight, I’m on the fence, but thinking I’m going with Crawford as best P4P. I still think Canelo is the greatest P4P due to the strength and depth of his resume.
Here are my top five best (based on overall ability head of to head performance; keep in mind the eye test plays a roll as well) as well as top five greatest (based on strength and depth of record and accomplishment).

TOP FIVE BEST P4P:
1. Terence Crawford (looks to me likely most complete of all current fighters)
2. Errol Spence (looks similar to Mayweather in the way he can throw a wet blanket on opponents offense and counter well)
3. Shakur Stevenson (defensive wizard, possibly untouchable my gut says he will retire undefeated)
4. Tyson Fury (amazing will to win seemingly can’t be sparked out)
5. Tank Davis (basically Deontay Wilder’s power combined with decent boxing skills)
the above fighters, with the exception of Spence, look especially skilled and powerful head to head but lack depth of resume
TOP FIVE GREATEST P4P:
1. Canelo Alvarez (deepest resume of literally any active boxer. Only one loss, at a young age, to a top 20 ATG)
2. Errol Spence (deep resume with no losses)
3. Oleg Usyk (deep resume, undisputed Cruiserweight beat the top dogs in their backyard. Currently taking over the HW division)
4. Anthony Joshua (best overall resume of any active heavyweight)
5. Josh Taylor (has some visible weaknesses yet continues to eke out wins over prime undefeated boxers)
the above fighters have a very good resume and a laundry list of important wins, sometimes in their opponents backyard
