Did tonight’s fight change your opinion on potential Spence clash

I'd say so. Crawford can be hit clean,as evidenced by Porter. He has long luls in his defence, and likes to pull straight back when evading. Not to mention he has a bad habit of making it a firefight whenever he gets hit. Additionally he doesn't like it up close and rough, which is where Porter was going his best work. Spence is taller, longer, has more power, and a better chin than Porter. Not to mention that he's southpaw. I'd say it's 60-40 for Spence at this point, and Crawford is only getting older at this point.Comment

Although Porter won a lot of rounds, got some good shots in on Crawford, and pushed him more than any other on his resume, Bud was in control and just waiting for that opportunity. Showtime did it with his usual hustle, but you could see a lot of his scoring punches weren't that flush, and he took some serious body shots that slowed him down. Spence went life or death with Porter and took a lot of flush shots and damage in going so.
From what I see Crawford beats Spence somewhat handily, if Porter is the measuring stick of the division many say.Comment

isn't that the main criteria of scoring rounds? Correct me if I'm wrong because I always thought it was. If neither guy are seriously hurt and one guy is out landing the other, why wouldn't the guy landing the most punches win the round? Have I been scoring fights wrong for more than the last 3 decades? Is there another criteria other than landing punches in a boxing match? Let me know...Comment

Alright check it out, I'm gonna try and keep this short and sweet: To some it may have looked like Crawford was losing the fight but he was in total control the whole time. Crawford was just toying and playing around with Porter, making him think he had a chance. Bud could have ended the fight early if he wanted but he decided to drag the fight on and give the fans a show.
Crawford is a bad mofo, for me he's p4p number 1 and he is better than Canelo. On the Spence fight, without a doubt Crawford will kill him.Comment

I said 'as it should btw' right after that comment. My comment was giving you a hard time, because GGG outlanded Canelo in virtually every round in each fight, yet you have a different opinion on those fights. They weren't even really close. I can't find one round in either fight where Canelo outlands him clearly or significantly. If you can let me know the round

No. But it did make me see Crawford differently. He is a smart boxer and changed up often (Porter equally changing up made the fight interesting).
He's better when he can counter and snipe, rather than wing forward. At his core though, his power is still his biggest strength. He lands anywhere and he's instantly changing the outcome of exchanges.
But if anything, Porter proved that if you pressure Crawford and get on the inside, you can disrupt him, get him uncomfortable, and break him down.
Porter just didn't have the power to do it. Maybe a guy like Spence can break him down where Porter could not.Comment
