To answer the OP question - NO!!!!
That only works where rules are in play - In a real street fight, anything goes.
The Kimbo slice type of fighting has rules also, vague rules, but rules just the same. But if someone was in that type of defensive shell in an organized street fight - he wouldn't last long.Comment

Against punches, yes, against weapons, no. But its not like thats the only method of defence Floyd knows how to use.
Also, a lot of you overstate how dangerous most streetfights are. Most of the time, two guys throw a few punches, then it gets broken up or one guy gets his ass whooped. It doesn't always break down into a crazy mosh pit of broken bottles, baseball bats and psychos wielding knives or guns. Not saying that never happens, but most "random" streetfights (in other words not a planned fight) are usually no-weapons and usually get broken up.Comment
