O score teh round for the guy, who controls the pace of the fight and is much busier, wether is backing up or moving forward dooesnt matter.

Obviously Clean effective punching is a big part of it, but when neither fighter is landing much and I go for activity and who took the pther guy out of their game. And I dont score rounds base on last second fluries either, you have to win atleast 2 minutes of it!!!!!!!!

of course, I agree with that.

unless that one punch does pretty massive damage and the other guy didnt totally own the round.

Agree, that sounds reasonable.....what if hardly any punches land at all like in the Hopkins/Wright fight? how did you score that if you did?

I dont remember, I probably didnt sit through all the rounds and judge them, haha. just an ugly fight.

I just take the punches that land and see which ones I thought did the most damage. In Winky's case it was basically just jabs, although that was enough in some rounds because Hopkins would just throw light punches to the side or hit his guard, which I actually do count, but only minimally. because some blocked punches still do damage, just very little.

Me? My scoring is very simple and straightfoward:
Whoever does the most damage in a round wins it.

I know, I know, people will say 'wtf you have no idea how to score a fight, what about clean punching, defense, effective aggression, etc?!'

              well, lets think about that.
If youre the one landing the harder, cleaner punches...then youre the one doing more damage with your punches
If youre the one with the effective aggression(in other words, being successful in offense without wasting energy and getting hit) then youre the one doing more damage.
If you have good defense that is actually working, then you shouldnt be taking as much damage...which makes it easier to be the one doing more damage.
And ring generalship is just buill****, **** it. it basically means 'who is in command of the fight', which is another way of saying 'youre winning'. why should you get points just because youre fighting in 'your' territory?

anyways, thats my take on it.
              clean effective punching

Scoring that one was like taking an algebra exam, you just want to get to the end of it and go to sleep.

depends. sometimes you see a punch jam into a guard and actually move it, and I think that does do damage, just not much. its like hitting a guys arms or shoulder, it sounds blasphemous but it actually does wear them down after a while. dont take it the wrong way, one grazing jab>that kind of a shot, but I SLIGHTLY do count them.

if when you block you actually deflect it and it does basically nothing at all, no, I dont score it whatsoever.

                  all depends on the situation.
