    Great fighters career defining fight

As a great undefeated fighter, there come a time when that career defining fight will come along. Like the Leonard vs Hern fight. Dela hoya vs Trinidad. Two undefeated red hot champion are to meet and see who is the best. I believe Mayweather moment was when Cotto was still red hot pre-Margarito. He should have made that fight happened. Pacquiao although he is red hot right now, he doesn't have that 0s so it will be different. Future fight to look foward to is Gamboa and lopez.

Chances are if a fighter truly had a career defining fight, they wouldn't be undefeated!!The best fighters,to me anyway are the ones that can take a loss, fair or not & come back twice as hard or strong!!Recent prime examples,Cotto lost in questionable devastating fashion to Margarito, but came back & earned a win over Clottey,(I don't think he won) ,but he did fight nine rounds with 1 eye, that says more than words, the kind of fighter he is!!Then there's the Punisher, lost to Quintana, then thorougly destroys every fighter since, including the very formidable Winky Wright!!

Cotto or Mosley will not give Mayweather that kind of moment any more since they don't have that 0s anymore. They only fighter left is Berto but Berto is not on the level of a red hot undefeated Cotto. Well atleast Mayweather squeezed Hatton in. I guess that's his career defining fight.

career defining has nothing to do with being undefeated....he didnt fight cotto because he was red hot and fmj got scared....he needs to fight cotto after he disposes of manny.....then even if he loses he will finally gain respect from people because he fought the best welter
