People here are talking like if Clottey was a walk in the park!!!!
Not necesarily bull **** him, Cotto knew Manny was there, he could have played it down a notch just so they could think he was done after the fight with Margacheato. Manny took the bait, he thought Cotto was done and Cotto got his fight with Manny, and by the way, his biggest payday.

Not even, he still has a couple big fights even if he loses. Mosley/Clottey/Margarito 2.

His only career after losing his 3rd of last 5 fights would be as an opponent on regular HBO. You think Mosley would fight him? Why? Cotto brings nothing to the table if he loses to Pac. The 2nd Marg fight will never happen. Marg sucks and he'll never get another meaningful fight. Cotto/Clottey II, LOL, now there's a barn burner between two losers after Clottey gets finished by Sugar Shane.

Losing his 3rd out of 5 fights?? lol

Mosley's career is jacked the fuck up. If it brings him money, he'll take it unless he gets a big head like always and fucks up the deal.

And if Clottey wins?? What then?? Besides, the fight ain't even signed yet.

No I really thought that Clottey was getting the better of him in 7, 8 and most of nine. And then it was like Cotto said, phuck this I'm going down swinging. Even Emanuel Stuart saw it somewhere in there after all his negative comments on Cotto's performance, he said "Cotto's still in this" or something like that. I think that's why he offered to train him. Fighters once they get that mental edge can have a really good run. They know they can dig down and grab something extra if they need it.

I don't care about any of that. The only thing I care for them is to fight the best. That is the reason I dislike Floyd the boxer (the person I don't give a ****).

Do you think the cut played and important roll in that fight?

It's still not concrete enough for me. I mean, what if Cotto did not suffer that cut in the Clottey fight, would he have kept on truckin'.

See, I don't think Cotto's 2nd half performance against Joshua had anything to do with being shot. Maybe it's just how Cotto deals with adversity, once he's in danger, he goes in survival mode, rather than put up an even fiercer fight.

This is basically what seperates the great fighters from the good fighters. PAC in his fight against Erika had to put up with a nasty gash and he just kept f**kin' fighting. Juanita was knocked the f**ked down 3 times against PAC and ended up fighting even better after the knockdowns.

It's that fight or flight response theory. Basically it's how an animal or human responds when they're under acute stress!
