Every athletic African American boxer one division below him. Jumping in division and beating tomatoes doesn't mean much..he chose to nestle himself in not only boxing current weakest division, but boxing historically weakest division..Lara gave em a scare...Trout showed ways to outbox em..after that he knows his poison..if he beats any athletic African American fighter I'll never speak bad about him again..went up to 175 to beat up an alcoholic lol..listen canelos been beating up Cruisers for years in sparing..his skills are out of this world(plus he just used and still may be (cycling)..with that said if you know anything about and or have boxed you would know that a great boxer Cana always beat on a less skilled opponent..and when you consider the long list of champions the Congi has produced, you know Canelo is taking out another quality opponent . Charlo and Andrade should go to 175 to fight Bivol, or Beterbiev. They should do it by May. Because Canelo will be returning to 175 in the fall of '22 to collect those 175 belts. If Charlo and Andrade can do that and win belts from those unathletic pale skinned Euros, and Canelo avoids Charlo and Andrade then, then you have an argument about him not wanting to face "Athletic African Americans".

Until then, your argument is weak. Charlo and Andrade are content fighting the cans in their divisions and not wanting to unify.

You choose to belittle Canelo's opposition, but the simple fact is that no one else's resume matches up to his. No one else is out there clearing out a division in twelve months. The only one close to him in this regard is Josh Taylor.

I think Jermall Charlo is decent and I do hope Canelo fights him in the future, because I think it would be a good fight, but if you are being honest you have to acknowledge that Charlo's resume is nothing compared to Canelo's. Derevyanchenko was a decent win, but Montiel? Really? What would you say if Canelo was fighting Montiel or Dennis Hogan?

Canelo is not fighting the best and most challenging in each division and anyone that can't admit that either doesn't know boxing or doesn't want facts to interfere with their cult worship. It's similar to burning down the capitol to save democracy.
