I think Canelo is making a dangerous mistake. I believe part of his reason for moving up in weight is to avoid a fight with Benavidez or GGG. He's also deluding himself. He hasn't really faced a true super middleweight with power. Kovalev doesn't count. He's shot. Perhaps he wants to test himself. But packing on muscle, to have to lose weight to finally fight a Benavidez, Charlo, Andrade, Munguia, or GGG might ravage his body like Roy Jones Jr ravaged his. He lost all of his power, coming down in weight....and was no longer ever the same dominant fighter. As great as Canelo's last couple of years have been, his next few years may be disastrous...by deciding to challenge the heavier divisions.

What are your thoughts on Crawford unifying the 140 Ibs division? Can you honestly name the guys he beat without googling them? It was a weak division and he moved to 147 to beat other weak guys.
Here’s the kicker though, Canelo is 31 years old and we know he struggled at the lower weight class. 168 is ideally his best weight so if he fights for 5 years (very possible) and beats all the top guys at that weight or any of the 160 guys that’ll come up, how is that a knock on him?
