Floyd/Marquez = black/mexican rival?

Thinking about the upcoming fight has me thinking

Is their a black/mexican rivalry?

We know how the puerto ricans and mexicans have their rivalry

and so on and so forth but what about the blacks?

Especially ont he west coast where its been very contentious with the whole black vs mexican thing

Does this get transferred to sports i.e boxing?

Like do you have people on both sides rooting for a particular boxer based solely on his ethnic background?

The black vs mex **** is only with the piece of **** gangsters in the west,in my school we had alot of them riots. But In the sport it's all about the mex vs p.r. fighters

Yeah lol i grew up in the san fernando valley and there were alot of black vs mexican riots at schools.LOL you say in boxing its all about pr vs mex but if you go on youtube and look at the floyd v marquez, floyd vs delahoya and etc you see a plenthora of racist comments from both sides claiming that their ethnic group and fighters are better than the others.

That's true. But i don't see it as one of the main rivalries in sports right now

there is no black/mex rivalry. blacks and mexicans don't occupy enough weight divisions together.
