Well we know for sure he will never fight Benevidez, Ramirez, or Mungia because he did a copout and said "I do not like to fight with Mexicans, I do not see any sense in doing that”. How can ANYONE respect that when Morales and Barrera and many other great fights came from Mexican warriors fighting each other.

You’re ****ing ******ed…Love how everybody who is mad fail to recognize the huge size difference in this fight. Canelo is a damn junior middleweight or better yet a small middleweight and look who he is trying to fight. Why has it never been done then if it's so easy to your experts in here ? The hate is real....I recall many saying he would never fight callum Smith or bjs or plant because they were slick or too big now after he cleans them out they are nobodies ....Comment

My thoughts exactly fights like these are for the casuals to lap up...this is a farce of a fight, fight a no hoper guy who looked leagues below Tony bellew minus the lucky punch he landedThese idiotic fans who are defending this nonsense and saying it’s great for Canelo’s legacy because he’s moving up in weight really don’t know sh** about boxing. Fighting a lesser opponent in a higher weight class isn’t greater than fighting a better opponent in a lower weight class. Which wins were more respected…Sugar Ray beating Hearns at welterweight or him beating Donny Lalonde at light heavy? Roy Jones beating James Toney at mw or him beating Ruiz at hw? Pac beating Barrera at featherweight or beating Margarito at jmw? Oscar beating Quartey at welterweight or Felix Sturm at mw?
Bunch of groupie casuals.
Canelo is making a mockery of the sport...canelo fans bitching and moaning about ggg not going up in weight all I can say is if he went about it like this then he did us all a favour this is a joke
If you Clean out a division and are comfortable stepping up or get too big for the weight you try and clear out the next or at least fight the top guys back to back not jump in and out if weight classes picking on the weakest belt holders
He should be clearing out light heavyweight and if he can do that then step up to cruiser and work it like that not this cherry picking farce to add legacy value for casual idiots and fanboysLast edited by Stuntman Mike; 11-18-2021, 11:26 AM.Comment

GGG - Been at middleweight his entire career even fought 154 lbers like Ouma who was kicking his ass but just too small and Vanes Martiroysan.
Benavidez - Came down from 175 to fight 168 lber's. His last 2 fights have been against middleweights hell Davis had fought at 154 just a few years ago and it took him some rounds to get him out of there I know it was late replacement but he still didn't steamroll him like he should've. (I like Benavidez he's my friends cousin but let's be real he's not beating Canelo his last 2 fights were not impressive and he had a lot of trouble with a fighter in similar stature to Canelo in Ronald Gavril)
Charlo moved up to 160 to fight 154 lbers as well and not to mention he looked terrible against them (Brandon Adams, Juan Macias Montiel, Dennis Hogan) his resume at Middleweight is atrocious his only good wins are Derevyenchenko and Centeno and that's after Sulecki the light puncher had already ****ed him up. This is the guy Canelo is ducking? Get the **** out of here man if Charlo hadn't starting drinking regularly I would've said he had a chance but not now. I like him as a fighter but you guys are just reaching and hating it's funny at this point.
Beterbiev - Came down from Heavyweight to fight at 175. I'm not going to talk **** about Beterbiev because I know he's not scared to fight and obviously he has skills he is an Olympian and he does have the best shot at winning but lets be honest he hasn't finished unifying the division himself at 175. How can Canelo go in 1 year and unify the belts through different networks but Beterbiev can be at the division for years and can't manage to do the same? Don't give me the promoter **** because Fury and Wilder made it happen, Beterbiev and Smith are on the same network and Bivol is ducking anyways so at least make that fight happen. This fight is going to happen eventually and it's going to be a super fight people are going to say Beterbiev is old when he loses anyways but that's just how it goes you beat one fighter they make an excuse on why you won't fight the next then when they do and they win the process repeats and so forth.
Bivol ducked Ramirez they should fight each other next and the winner fights Beterbiev after that 175 will be set and the big fights will happen. Everyone wants the fights to happen on their terms and they're not even boxers lmao like they get to pick and choose. As a fan these are the fights you clamor for, I want to see Canelo fight Beterbiev, Ramirez/Benavidez and Bivol those are the 3 fights I want to see. I believe they will happen within the next 2 years as there aren't many other options so in due time but how can you hate on Canelo for jumping weight classes when none of these other guys are even willing to do the same. If it's so easy how come Beterbiev hasn't gone up to fight at Cruiserweight since he was a former Heavyweight himself? Would have been a big fight with him and Usyk or even just to grab a title and make some history before his career is finished because he's not getting any younger.
Every fighter I listed go look at their resumes and go look at Canelo's those guys are fighting nobodies in their own weight classes let alone jumping up yet they are boogeyman I don't see it man go look at their resumes list their best fights in their current weight please. Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk, Bivol vs Smith only 2 good fights that happened rest are whatever especially with Benavidez, Charlo, and GGG. Canelo literally beat 3 undefeated champions and retired one of them these guy's aren't even fighting each other or fighting undefeated challengers but they are beasts c'mon just be real instead of hating just to hate.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not trashing this fight but it's not a fight I'm excited for, I was wrong on this one, I thought Canelo was gonna pick Charlo for May and Benavidez for Sep so I have to eat my crow for getting this wrong.
I'm seeing this for what it is, a chance to capture a world title at another weight class, Canelo will win this fight and he will move down again, the thing is that right now I'm not sure what Canelo will do for September, because even thou I'm sure the won't weigh in at 200 pounds he will probably be close to 175-180, I wouldn't advise him to move up that much and suddenly moving down to 168.
I will watch the fight without a doubt to see how Canelo dismantles this huge guy and then onto business on September crossing my fingers that he fights Benavidez, Charlo, Beterbiev or Bivol next.Comment
