wtf is this PPV? This match up is undercard quality

Definitely ordering this pay-per-view. Kind of an odd main event for a PPV, but five heavyweight fights for $39 feels like an old Don King or Cedric Kushner show. Have always liked King Kong and Prince Charles. With the winner guaranteed a title shot, I'm very interested. With a few buddies coming over, it's worth the $10 each to not have to watch commercials.Comment

Interesting match up! Actually wouldn’t surprise me if Martin beats Ortiz. To me, Ortiz is way overrated and slow and doesn’t hit as hard as people make out. He looks like crap in some fights, I’m gonna say Martin wins this by UD.Comment

You guys all complaining about PPV like you have never heard of streams! Lol….I haven’t paid for a PPV in at least 10 years now, refuse to. Yeah this shouldn’t be PPV, but whether it is, or isn’t makes no difference to me…I’ll be watching it for free!Comment

King Kong and Prince Charles are both going to want large purses for this fight. The economics make it impossible to just give the fight away for free. It's a budget PPV at $39, aimed at heavyweight fans. There are enough heavyweight fans out there to support a card like this. If it doesn't interest you, don't buy it. Heavyweight fans are a special breed. Boxing history is littered with these quirky budget heavyweight PPVs. It's a boxing tradition. Fight gets announced. Heavyweight fans are excited. Everyone else complains. It's been going on for decades.

The article didn't say Martin/Ortiz is a final eliminator. It's just an eliminator. The IBF don't fool around, and are not the WBC.Comment

It wasn't an article, it was a press release. PBC press releases rarely if ever clarify if an eliminator is final or semi-final. Prince Charles already won an IBF eliminator. If he wins another, he becomes mandatory.Comment

Believe whatever you want. This is not a final eliminator. IBF final eliminator will be between Hirgovic and anyone who accept to fight him down the rankings. If Martin earlier turned down that chance, he's out of the picture as far as IBF is concerned. Miller and Whyte suffered a similar fate in the past when called to face the top-ranked guy in Pulev. Again, unlike the WBC, IBF don't fool around. There will be no final eliminator without Hirgovic.Comment
