There are only 5 cherrypicking champs/contenders left between 160-175 Canelo hasn't beat, which 1 would be a favorite v Makabu/Canelo?(don't duck this if you say Makabu is a cherrypick)

Beterbieve quote:" the reason I will always fight at lhw is because cruiserweight is too big of a jump & its the only division besides hw I can jump too,but I'm not big enough"

Kovalev"I never went up to CW because its its big a jump & I'd be giving up too much size"

Makabu would be a huge favorite over Bumslayavidez/Andrade/mr 164 lb catchweight doe Charlo/Beterbieve/Bivol

Beterbieve got dropped by a lhw journeyman ffs,& had hella trouble v a last minute bum replacement,

Bivol barely sc****d a win v a complete no hoper journeyman his last outing too,

Bumslayavidez hasn't faced a single real champion yet & was dropped on his ass by a complete no hoper,& looked like dogsht his last fight v a last min no hoper jmw he dragged up,same goes for Charlo most his career(but hes never been dropped at least)

/Andrade 34 yrs old never faced a champion, went life & death with Liam Smiths leftovers in his best win,& was dropped by A.Foxx/Vanes

These are the guys y'all are saying Canelo ducking by going up to cruiserweight? Foh

This fight will be fixed. MakaBu has nothing really to lose but all to gain.

If he beats canelo 0 credit, like Hopkins vs De la Hoya.
Hes lost already no 0 to protect.
He would probably get reassurance that he get title shot after Canelo drops the belt.
He will never get this amount $$$$ in his life time if he doesn’t dive.

If I had such a pitiful career as makabu I would dive for $$$ with no hesitation.

    go figure.

Thank you for responding, at least you aren't saying Makabu is an outright cherrypick on paper unless he dives

this fight is only a cherrypick if it's at 190 IMO

Even if he fought a ****ing journeyman at 200, how is that a cherry pick.

Don't blame Canelo that the WBC had announced a long while back that CW was going to be 190 from now on.(& it sounds like it won't be at a cw regardless judging by what I've seen)

This was in 2020,& yes the fight will be at 190 apparently as the WBC finalized it at latest meeting which is why Canelo decided to go to Cruiserweight I'm sure (as he weighed around 180s when he fought Kovalev anyways)

The WBC changed the weight limit to 190 in October 2020. How is that a cherry pick?

see then i can't fw this fight. makabu may not be the biggest cw, as he weighs at 196 a lot of times, but this is not fair to him to go down to 190. that is a drain.

The original Cruiserweight division was 190 & had only been 200 for 10 yrs,Mukabu will have to make 190 for the rest of his career to keep that title,so how is that a drain?(its not like they did it for Canelo specifically, they announced it in 2020)

From the link back in 2020

"[WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga] Makabu just called me, he’s preparing for his title defence at 200-pounds but he’s ready to move to 190-pounds that he can do that weight, 190-pounds. It’s a continuous effort to see what is more reasonable, but not be unjust to a fighter who has been competing in that weight
