Will Canelo eventually go to HW?

Let’s say Fury/Usyk unifies the division and the belts start to become fragmented again.

A couple of lower level guys like Martin, Parker pick up belts like they did 5 or so years ago.

Could you see Canelo going to HW to pick up a HW title?

Depending on how his fight with Makubu goes, if it goes down, you have to think that is his plan. Just as you mapped out pretty much

No. I don't think you could put the Canelo Clauses into an unlimited weight class.

No. Not that much tainted beef or herbal tea in all of Mexico.

Usyk drops down to bridgerweight and he and Canelo fight to legitimize that division.

Credit poster techliam for being The first poster I saw suggesting canelo would legitimize bridgerweight.

He may as well. It'll be his 6th division a a champion at that point.

Wait for the heat to die down at Heeavyweight. Let Fury walk out the door and Usyk, Wilder, and Joshua take a hiatus. Ruiz isn't going to fight his mentor.

So, Canelo could play HW like he is looking to play CW easily.

He could out box some guys even if the power isn't there.

Except even if he did, Canelo likely won't fight him.

If Canelo was looking at that, he'd have fought Breidis as his cruiserweight fight instead of a cruiserweight Clottey.

I disagree. Canelo’s resume suggests he would.

Breidis is the IBF title holder. Canelo doesn’t have the same influence he does with Suliman and the wbc.

Not really. When Canelo goes up it's usually with a semi-live opponent at the least.

This guy isn't really a live opponent despite what his record shows.

Absolutely he would, but it’s contingent on how well he’s able to handle Makabu.

If Usyk beats Fury then I could see Canelo challenging him for all 4 heavyweight belts.
