They think only clear shots to the head count. If one boxer lands only one clear beautiful jab to the head, and the other lands a solid thumping body shot, the body shot would give the second fighter the win.

Thankfully judges are educated and count body shots as major points in a boxing match.
If this was true then Lara and GGG would have broken down and faded down the stretch. Except it was Canelo who fatigued. Showed who was really wearing the other fighter down.

Not all body shots are the same, just because the crowd oohs and ahh doesn't mean your fighter wins the round. That seems to be the rule with Canelo Alvarez. A ton of those shots were either blocked or didn't land flush on the liver. A hard power punch to the body score more than a soft jab to the head but a hard jab to the head also scores more than a body shot that hits mostly arm and glove.

Canelo lands with mean mean intentions as did GGG, to anyone’s body. That mental pressure with adrenaline helping the other advance to the next round hits a threshold. It’s one of the reasons why Floyd don’t want to fight Cotto or Canelo (respectively) for the Middlewieghts titles, so Canelo jumped dibs on it. These haters don’t realize that Cotto and Canelo easily go 12 rounds with solid composure. With them heavier and stronger (even with a Floyd 155 catchweight could mean trouble since Floyd eats shots to the arms). Floyd eating shots from Cotto or Canelo from 155-160 was too risky that’s why he didn’t want to gamble on 6 Division Champ status. He said they were “easy” yet didn’t want an “easy” 6 Division status. It’s all in the power.
If this was true Canelo would not have been the one fading down the stretch. Body shots are supposed to be money in the bank to wear the other guy out. Where was that in the Lara and GGG fight?

The facts is that Andrade has a great resume. He dominated Sulecki who couldn't land on him. Sulecki pieced up Danny Jacobs all night. This is how Jacobs got the Canelo fight, by looking like **** against Sulecki. Jacobs earned the Canelo fight by winning a close decision against Marcej. Maybe Andrade shouldn't have tried against Sulecki and Canelo would have picked him instead.

You mean how a ton of jabs also didn’t land clean on Canelo?

You're not speaking in facts or truth. If this were the truth Lara and GGG would have been the one who tired out. It was clear as day Lara and GGG were landing more.

Again, you don't understand boxing. Look at the clownish stuff you write. Many of you forget some of us have boxed. You should REALIZE that throwing POWER PUNCHES tires out the fighter more than jabs or crosses. This isn't theory or opinion, kid! It's a fact! The fact that you don't know this shows you're either trolling, or you truly believe, or pretending, some failed myth of slickness? Or you trying to be funny? Lara did better than GGG. In the real world of TRUE GRIT, Lara didn't succeed in boxing because of karma, moving, trying to flex on Canelo but didn't engage in a real fight. More like what Plant did, talk to Canelo about his skills in the ring in Round 9 ffs.. same thing as Lara talking to Canelo at the podium in like ''hey, I want to fight, but little do you know I prefer to run, so this podium flex is just my gay way of expression that you are truly the HNIC!'' As far as GGG, a legacy known POWER PUNCHER. Fights Canelo and only throws jabs. You don't know boxing man. Canelo excels in boxing because he put in the work. sacrifices power punching for the fans. ''i like Mexican style'' -GGG doe

Great resume? Who are his top wins?

Sulecki lost against Jacobs. He lost by a wide decision of 115-112, 116-111, and 117-110. Jacobs resume is much better than Andrade's, it's not even close.

Charlo, Benavidez, Bivol or Bieterbiev I believe could beat him but are not favored or likely to. I would be fine with any one of them next.

Makuba doesn’t appear to have any chance of beating him. If he makes this his December/January tune up that is fine.

I would hope this isn’t a fight on cinco de Mayo. That would not be good.

Canelo is the best boxer in the world so he will be favored against anyone he fights and rightfully so.
How do we know that? Whom has he fought lately who is thought to be a top P4P fighter in the world? To truly be the best, he has to beat the best. He hasn't even FOUGHT the best!
