well you nailed it, the big african american kids have more oppurtinities these days, they play football, basketball, baseball, go to college, etc. and of course to a lesser extent MMA is taking potential boxers away as well.
I mean seriously, name 10 african american heavyweights. Can anyone do it? I can do it with one hand and they all pretty much suck, with exception of a couple that are fairly decent (only because today's HW standards are so low).
I wouldn't say american domination is over, because if there was ever another Mike Tyson or someone who could spark a lot of interest in boxing again that could inspire thousands of kids across america to become fighters. ****, look what Pacquiao did to the Philippines, every kid wants to box these days.
But we certainly are in a dark period and how long that will last is anyones guess. There will be another great American heavyweight champ though, I know that much.
