37 going on 38 and still hasn't unified with Bivol. And that's Canelo's fault, how?

Beterbiev, Bivol, Charlo, Benavidez, they're all the same. Take on soft challenges, fight after fight, never willing to fight each other, never willing to do anything. Canelo is leaving those divisions for almost a year, and I guarantee you these boxers will not fight each other and everyone will still be crying and moaning about Canelo come fall of '22 when he returns to the 68-75 divisions.

First Mexican 5-division champion if he wins. I think that's his motivation.

Lol come on daggum, you know there is nothing Canelo can do, no one he can fight, for you to like him. He can go up to HW to fight Usyk and you still hate him.

In late 2015, when Canelo had not fought at the full 160lb limit yet and GGG was drooling for 154 fighters to come up and fight him, Canelo turned down GGG at the full 160, citing he is not a MW yet.

This is why initially, in 2015, he told GGG he would only fight him at 155lbs.

Now yes, 155lbs is technically MW, but Canelo was not ready to fight at the full limit. The fight ended up happening in 2017 at the full 160 limit after Canelo felt comfortable beating a terrible fighter in JCC Jr at 164lbs. He thought since he felt good at 164, he is ready to fight the best at 160lbs. He was confident. This is why his first fighter at the full MW limit was GGG.

As far as 175lbs goes, and Beterbiev, Bivol and Smith Jr, these are the fights I wanted to see Canelo take. I am disappointed they are not next.

It is clear that at this point, Canelo is just chasing accomplishments and attempting to “make history”.

While Makabu is hardly the worst fighter he could choose for May 2022, and CW is a new weight class for him or any Mexican fighter, I am not 100% thrilled with this match. I do think it is intriguing, could be dangerous, and appreciate that Canelo at least chose a champion and a top 3 fighter of their division to fight for the Cruiserweight WBC title.

He could have just waited and fought in some BS vacant title fight vs a completely worn out and shot to sh/t fighter like Pacquiao vs Margarito at 150lbs.

He could have fought the invisible and unknown WBA Cruiserweight champion Arsen Goulamirian, who is no where to be seen in The Ring’s top 10 Cruiserweights and has zero wins over a live body.

If this is the route Canelo is taking, he has to realize that his critics will also call for him to fight The Ring champion at Cruiserweight Mairis Breidis. They will want him to fight Dorticos too. As well as Okolie.

His critics don’t care about who he fights. You know damn well you don’t care if Canelo beats Beterbiev, Bivol and Smith Jr. You will still not be pleased with him. If that is the case, why throw out names he should fight and pretend to be satisfied if only he fights those names?

It would be a lot more respectable and consistent if you just come out and say you hate him and there is nothing he can do and no one he can beat to change that. Rather than this, throwing out names he should fight when you really don’t care who he fights. You just want to nitpick at his career and every fight.

List your accomplishments in life. Let’s nitpick your resume and education. I want to see how much more accomplished you are than Canelo.

A bum, nobody, talking about “poor form” from one of the most accomplished fighters in the history of boxing. Canelo has fought everyone he has had to fight. From Mayweather to GGG, Jacobs, to Callum Smith, BJS, Plant. Any fighter worth anything from 154 to 168, Canelo has fought them.

Fans like you said he was ducking Trout, Lara, Jacobs, GGG, Callum Smith. Fans like you said he will drain Kovalev, not fight him at the full 175lb limit. Fans like you said he would either duck or weight drain Jacobs. He fought them all, at their weight class. But it’s “poor form” of him to not immediately fight Beterbiev.

immediately? its been 2 years since he fought kovalev. 2 and a half when he fights makuba, and he used the "im not a 175 pounder" excuse not to fight beterbiev, yet now he's fighting someone bigger than beterbiev so that just proves he made all that up so the heat wouldnt be on him to fight beterbiev. thats lame. stop pretending like he's taking on all challengers. hes not. hes still fighting good fighters, but only if they meet his standards, and you cant play the beterbiev is not popular card cause no one cared about yildram, smith, or saunders. they weren't draws. canelo going fo all the belts! oh ya? beterbiev already has 2...oh well

yildram didnt unify with anyone. neithe did saunders or plant. weird standard there...and beterbiev has already unified 2 titles, him not fighting some of the other guys doesnt necessarily involve canelo. fights are hard to make in boxing period. a guy like charlo is taking easy fights when he has better options but is beterbiev? hes been in negotiations with bivol and smith jr so seems like hes interested. those guys have more to lose and more time than beterbiev so i would think their promoters would nix the beterbiev fight on their behalf. just strange tat you dont care about canelo lying about being too small to fight at 175 and now hes fighting at 200. he just said that to avoid or stall the beterbiev fight. dont you think thats lame? the thing that should be noticed is that he did the same exact thing with ggg. oh im not a real middleweight im a 155 pounder evn though thats not a real division...then he went and fought chavez jr at super middle cause it was an easy fight. give him credit for eventuall fighting ggg but it lost its luster at least a bit, same with the beterbiev fight unless beterbiev looks great and they fight in 2022. he wasted years now fighting in a dead division with no good fighters claiming he wasnt big enough for 175. there were literally no elite fighters or even big fights at 168 so why stay there?
