Makabu is 6'0" so Canelo won't be dwarfed too much in height. He does have a very high KO percentage though so the power difference will definitely be there.

This might be that point where Canelo is biting off more than he could chew. I said the same for Callum Smith though, and he proved me wrong. But idk, this is very risky. 28 wins 25 KO’s and he is taller, bigger. The silver lining here is that Makamu was stopped by Bellew. Maybe Canelo can pull it off too.
