We've never been made to see Crawford's heart, punch resistance, or forced into fighting beyond his power. So it'll be interesting to see what Porter brings, if anything at all.

Porter isn't the best boxer in the world. But if he proves to handle Crawford's punch and can damage Crawford as well?

It'll be no surprise if Crawford loses like many who share Crawford's prototype way of boxing. Like Shane Mosley vs Vernon Forrest. Or more recently, Wilder vs Fury. All power and hand speed. But what happens when that doesn't work?
Crawford has a million times better ring IQ than Walters, he goes through the gears, figures his opponent out and makes adjustments mid fight as well as any active fighter right now.

Great fight. I do think Bud is looking to make a statement on Saturday. I think he wins by late stoppage.

Hey, Walters was all the same things until Lomachenko.

And how many boxers are equivalent to Lomachenko's talent and skill? Not many. Certainly nobody Crawford has beaten thus far.

So i don't know if he really has that much greater ring IQ if he's only fought boxers lesser than himself instead of equals.

Lots of fighters look like a different breed when they're fighting stiffs.

Crawford is mean in the Ring. The second he hurts Porter hes finishing him.

This article is wrong. I had to stop and comment. Porter won his title from Devon Alexander, not Paulie. Paulie was his first defense, not Kell Brook. That's a major inaccuracy.

                  Not worth my PPV money......

.....but I hope whoever buys it, will enjoy it and much respect to both fighters.

I'll be surprised if Crawford doesn't stop Porter

Firstly, I'm surprised Tim Tszyu v Takeshi Inoue wasn't mentioned for Weds the 17th. That fight (should) put the winner squarely in line for a crack at either Castano or more likely is the winner of Castano v Charlo II should that happen.

Secondly, how many fighters made in Porter's image are there? Few come to mind. They are the ones who began their careers with the tag of future possible great, only to be labeled could've if he would've - or couldn't because he didn't - but ultimately they become fan-friendly due to the appearance that they are solid down to earth pugs who'll take just about any fight, will give 100%, but against solid greats like Crawford it's almost a fait accompli.

Porter has what amounts to a puncher's chance. What would happen to Crawford if Porter won? What excuses would be forthcoming? He's been ostracised at 147, hasn't been given a consistent diet of solid opponents, has been frozen out by the equivalent of boxings Rupert Murdoch/Roger Ailes in Al 'It's all about the numbers what's a jab?' Haymon.

Crawford himself is far from proving himself as a HOFér. Even his brief 140-pound road to undisputed status is littered with sub-par opposition. We've yet to see Crawford in a fight where there was genuine speculation, anticipation, and anxiety about his chances after he became a P4P regular.

The over-arching issue which has been flogged more than a 60-year-old dominatrix working 7 days a week is when are we going to see Crawford v Spence, Thurman, Ortiz Jr, or even Ugas?
there doesn't appear to be a lot of depth at 147, so does Bud move up or down? Becoming a two-time undisputed champion is as rare as rocking horse sh^t, so why not?

Even at 154, he might be able to secure an undisputed fight with either Castano or Charlo - though Charlo is with the pernicious PBC.
