Canelo has recency bias but the truth is he hasn't fought anyone very good above 160.

I mean, I suppose Callum Smith is the best one but I'm a brit and let me tell you I always knew Callum Smith was nothing special, I mean really he lost to John Ryder (domestic level) in the fight before canelo, same with BJS, his best win was in a 50/50 with Eubank Jr and, David lemiuex for God sake.

Well Froch is a level above all of these guys, yes he was a bit sloppy and basic, but he was hard as ****, very heavy handed, had an iron chin, superb stamina, very good jab, punch variety on the inside etc.

The one thing I can guarantee you is at some point Froch would land something to make canelo have to actually think about what was coming back, something nobody has done since little G.

It's funny actually if you put prime Froch in with callum smith, bjs and plant what would you expect to happen, he get made to look a bit clumsy early then smash their faces in in the second half of the fight, kind of like canelo.

It's a good fight, both would be the others best win.
