you just gave the reason spinks wanted to fight hagler....there was no money in LH so spinks went to HW a MUCH bigger move then hagler going to LH. all the great fighters moved up and won more titles hagler NEVER did

Well Hagler may have gone up after the biggest payday he could get which was Srl, but after he felt he was robbed, and Srl welched on the rematch is when he decided to retire. Its all water under the bridge now and its nothing wrong with being a career middleweight.

Nobody was clamoring for Spinks/Hagler
