Injury my ass, that's a BS fantasy talk.. His leg didn't prevented him from throwing punches and Crawford never ran. Instead Crawford went straight at Benavidez "the puncher" and beat him badly in the exchanges for 10 rounds. The only thing Benavidez can brag about is that he takes a good punch .

There was never a time in history that Benavidez beats Crawford and never will be.
Go back and watch the fight is wasn't even close.

T Crawford will continue to stop every WW available, Porter's next week..... Spence, Thurman, Danny G, V Ortiz, PacMan would follow if they step up. The only question IMO, Boots Ennis probably makes the finish with TC after an extreme beating....

He's not beating Crawford so he needs to just give that up but he does have a future. Benavidez is only 27 with a 74 inch reach, he's big and he has skills. His next fight is important because if he does well he'll be in the mix with the other PBC fighters. Watch how he does with Torres at 154.

IMO...I expect Jose to knock Torres out cold but that still remains to be seen.

Shaking your head no and ****ing your gloves together after getting rocked with combos 2-3 times each round does not make for a great fight.

He ain’t wrong, did give Crawford problems. Took Crawford 10 Rds to finally catch up with this dude, dragging his leg around the ring. Did make me wonder how this guy woulda done with 2 legs. Can’t front, he did better than other Welterweights against Crawford.

He does basically have just one good leg.

Benavidez fought Craawford 3 years after being shot. He fought Strode and Rojas after the shooting, before fighting Crawford. Had ZERO issues with his leg in those fights. He didn't wear a knee brace in neither of those fights either. He sparred in my gym when he got to Omaha 2 weeks before the Crawford fight. He wore no knee brace during that sparring session and had no knee issues. He showed ZERO issues with the knee during the Crawford fight but all of a sudden needed to wear a knee brace....lol. He claim "no excuses" but gives the ultimate excuse. Crawford whipped his ass. Period.

Also didn't Showtime say that Jose Benavidez had to lose 50 lbs to make the 158 limit? What's with him and his brother not staying in shape and gaining so much weight? Isn't staying in top shape all the time and having a personal chef/cook, and nutritionist a requirement for top boxers, or those who want to be top boxers? Sure David Benavidez may fight Canelo some day but can he make weight, something found in the blood testing or not beat himself in some other way before getting in the ring?
