It is hard to compare old school fighters to current ones because past fighters are elevated in peoples minds and emotions to super humans. I am sure there will come a time 10-20 years from now that a current fighter will be compared to old school Pacquiao and fail in comparison no matter what he has accomplished. Opinions are just that. Many had opinions about what they thought the results of Pacman fights would be, look what happened to those, they became excuses. Working for Golden boy should make him anti Pacquiao right? You think Pacquiao has the defense of a prime Whitaker? Speed of a prime Meldrick Taylor? Pacquiao may be fast but he isn't that elusive, I'll gamble on Chavez to win, Pacquiao isn't gonna hurt a very durable Chavez and I see that left hook landing.

i think hes more elusive than taylor, but i cant think of any fighter more elusive than whitaker

I don't know about Chavez not being able to deal with speed. He fought some of the fastest fighters to ever live and for the most part beat them.
