Benavidez vs Betterbieve

David has been struggling to make 168 and you can see it in his face in this one he’s really drained. Why not go up to 175 and face Betterbieve two huge hard punching monsters. Both have similar attributes except Benavidez has the better chin. If he can beat Betterbieve he cuts Canelo off at 175 and a canelo fight will only be that much bigger.

This fight makes all the sense in the world but it seems like everyone of these guys don’t want to risk **** just wait around for canelo.

Benavidez already fought at 175 from 2013 to 2016. He moved back down to 168 to duck Beterbiev, Bivol and Joe Smith.

Well it’s time for him to go back up because he’s obviously not a 168lbrr anymore. Him v Betterbieve would be all action and I think he stands a better chance at beating him right now than Canelo since beterbieve doesn’t have the best chin and defense. It would be a very interesting fight.

But like mentioned these guys aren’t the smartest they’re just waiting around for Canelo instead of building themselves up. Right now no one really knows Benavidez but if he were to beat Betterbieve his names gets bigger and more demand for the canelo fight will be there.
